The Taste of Coogee Festival is lucky to have the famous, Franky Valentyn (he has performed at Coogee Family Fun Day events) performing his fabulous act: “Fun with Frank” at Goldstein Reserve on Sunday, 20 September 2015
From Franky’s website:
“Over the last 8 years Franky has built up a reputation as being a children’s entertainer, mainly due to his weekly shows at Balmain Leagues Club in Sydney, playing to full houses every week. In 2009 he was nominated for the prestigious Mo Awards and again in 2010, in the Best Childrens Entertainer category alongside legends such as Marty And Emu, The Wiggles and Hi 5. The last few years have seen Franky contribute on ABC TVs Play School as Pianist and Musical Director as required.
In 2009 Franky was asked to M.C and be a featured performer at Australia’s biggest Children’s festival, the award winning Fun4 Kids at Warrnambool, Victoria and has been a regular feature there ever since.
Franky’s performances are interactive and can be adapted to audiences ranging from 12 months to tweens. His show is a 45 min-1 hr hour mix of songs drawing from all eras and includes sing-a-longs, lots of dancing…and as a bonus even the parents may know the songs!!!!! Apart from family favorites like ABBA, Elvis and twisting songs from the golden era of Rock n Roll, there are also songs from everyone’s childhood days like Wheels on the Bus, Five Little Ducks and Old McDonalds farm through to the more recent songs from The Wiggles and the Shrek movies.
Franky’s first children’s album “Fun With Franky” is available now and his original interactive songs feature in his shows, inspiring children of all ages to explore their musicality both at the shows and afterwards at home, in the car or at school.”
